The sweet group of Shetland Cross sheep from Sequim has produced several adorable little lambs. The fleece from these lambs is just exquisite. It is very fine, with tight crimp and high luster. It seems they were given all of the best characteristics of their parents. We quickly realized it would make a lovely pairing for our own German Angora Fiber. The angora was harvested from Nick and Kate. They were part of our rabbitry for a couple of years and gave us several bags full of very lovely white Angora Fiber. It is a treat to see their fiber transformed into such soft, yet sturdy yarn. The Angora gives this yarn an unobtrusive halo and adds a very delicate softness to the fine lambs’ wool.
